Here comes our last day in Kedrodasos.. On the first picture you can see Ioanna and Nika swimming to the other side of the beach where Manos was giving a singing lesson to Egli and Dario early in the morning. Around noon we were already in the car, crossing back to the amazing villages and the high mountains. We couldn't just leave without a lunch at Elos village and soon enough we said goodbye to our lovely friend there, Sophia, and we were back in the car. Our destination was Argyroupoli village but we didn't make it there until late at night. It was a long way back to my house and even harder to say farewell to Kedrodasos.

Part of our journey was meeting the adorable couple of Egli and Dario. On the following days they invited us for dinner in their beautiful spot where Dario made spaghetti al pesto for everyone and on another night we decided make a trip out of the beach, at a village called Elos. We had dinner at a taverna there, we made some spectacular new friends, charged our phones and cameras and surely ate like we've never eaten cooked food before. One of my most favourite pictures in this part is the Kedros trees, they have such an ancient vibe.

Kedrodasos has been the paradise of my summer. And I keep realizing this as I look back to these photos of our adventure. Fall is already here and whenever I feel emotional or frustrated I bring these pictures in my head and I'm smiling again! On this particular day we woke up early, as everyday, had a swim, ate our fruits and relaxed till noon. Around 7 pm we got our backpacks, put sunscreen on, I got my camera and we left our tends. Our destination was Elafonisi, not very far from Kedrodasos, but the hiking was inevitable. We arrived quite late because we stopped to get foods and water for when we go back. It was about 8.30 pm and the whole beach was almost empty, exactly like we wanted it to be. We caught the sunset just in time and enjoyed a pretty freezy swim in Elafonisi. The pink sand and sunset light was pretty-to-cry-for.

For quite a while now I have been working in Argyroupoli village in Crete. In August, Nika, Ioanna and Manos traveled to Crete and kidnapped me to make a trip to Kedrodasos, South Chania. That was a great excuse for me to experiment with my new digital camera and make a few posts up in here. The first part is about Argyroupoli village, our walk at the springs, amongst Platanus trees and the lake. Ofcourse before leaving the village we had to get food from the local bakery. Many of the pictures were taken while the car was moving, but I have to share the views anyway. We went through a lot of mountains and villages, lost our way, stopped at the supermarket, stopped to get coffee. Ioanna insisted to steal some grapes from a yard of a house that looked somewhat abandoned so we stopped there as well. Finally we made it to Kedrodasos. We fixed our tends just before the sunset and in the morning, we had some visitors at the beach, two cute little goats which I ran off my tend to capture. It was a great beginning at the most beautiful, peaceful and dreamy beach of the world.
